Welcome to the blog of Alexia Kuros
Why I started this blog
Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog post, you can call me Alexia. I am a huge fan of horror games, visual novel games and of course lots of other ones. I always say that the weirder the game the most I will mostly like it. I want to tell you why I started this blog. It’s actually quite easy because I wanted to make things as simple as possible for people who are planning to get themselves into handhelds, personally I found out that it can be quite difficult to find yourself a handheld without doing major research and get tons of grey hairs from all the sites and movies that make it look so easy. I hope that with the stories I will write and the reviews that will be made, your journey will be easier and that you will have fun with the handhelds you decide to buy in the end. I am not a tech specialist, just someone who loves to figure new things out. I just wanted to let you know this.
A handheld is very personal, and it also depends on what your plans are with it. Did you just dust off you old 3DS and want to play those games you have or do you want to give new life to your PS Vita? Maybe you are interested in soft modding and wondering if you can do it or not, or just feeling unsure about it? Maybe you don’t want to do both of these choices but you want to get into emulation? On this blog you will be in the right place. I will make everything as easy as possible with this Blog so whatever your choice will be you will have the information you need. I’m going to take you with me on this journey and share all my findings and tips to help you out so, you can choose a handheld that is plug and play if that is your preference - for example with one of the newer Anbernic devices - or maybe you want to go into the world of homebrew for educational process. Who knows maybe you want to set up everything from scratch.
I want to give you a little information on how it started for me; Last year, I found out about emulation on handhelds. I did know about soft modding on the 3DS and Vita, but I haven’t heard about emulation on handhelds. Yes, emulation on computers has a very long history. It made me more then curious. So I did a ton of research. I didn’t have that much knowledge yet, at that time I was happy with getting a Gameboy advance emulation and Super Nintendo emulation. Little did I know back then. My first emulation handheld was the Anbernic 35xx. I was amazed that I could play PS1 games on this device. It didn’t take me long to understand there was a whole world for me to explore, which I did.
But there was something I really missed, I mean no blame or harm to any of the amazing reviews I checked, it always ended the same telling me everything is super easy and some devices are perfect with a few simple flaws like noisy buttons. I can tell you that’s not totally true. Some things are just not easy if you have never done them before, or if you just are not good with computers. Also, there are flaws with every device most times and nothing is perfect. The question is do we mind some of the flaws? Are they okay or are they just a no go? In this blog I will do my very best to check out what the flaws can be and then you can choose yourself if you can live with it. Also, I will check out the internet frequently for information that should be mentioned so that you will not be disappointed in the end,as what happened with me and my so called dream device. If you want to know what happened feel free to read that blog also. For now, I will end here . . .
Till the next blog everyone
